We all know the phrase “nothing beats being there”. From football matches to concerts we all know you’d rather be in the crowd rather than sitting at home watching everyone else have all the fun. Well, it’s the same for festivals and one festival in particular, Kappa Futur Festival in Turin, Italy!
Held in Turin’s Parco Dora, a modern park which offers some of the most stunning architectural pieces you could ever see, the venue has become iconic and automatically linked with the festival. The main stage is situated in the “Tettoia Di Strippaggio”, or “The Stripping Shed”, with the famous pillars lining the dance floor.
Turin is a stunning city so Kappa Futur boasts one of the most spectacular settings for any festival in the world. Turin is also home to two football teams, Torino F.C. and the legendary Juventus with the stadium tour a must! Maybe you fancy taking in some culture along the way? There’s no shortage of galleries and museums to explore in this historic city.
Who doesn’t love a holiday in the sun? Northern Italy in July will be perfect for those in search of a warm sunny atmosphere. Bring your suncream and tank tops!
The Lineup On Day One
Across both Saturday and Sunday, you will struggle to find a lineup as strong. With legends like Carl Cox, Fatboy Slim and Sasha & Digweed accompanied by Jackmaster, Jamie Jones, Ilario Alicante, Marcell Dettmann, Nina Kraviz and Seth Troxler B2B The Martinez Brothers, Saturday’s lineup is stacked. Yes. You read that right. That’s just day one.
Actually… Look At The Lineup On Day Two!
Day two’s lineup is just as stacked as day one. Sunday includes Ame (live), Body & Soul, Dixon, Joseph Capriati, Maceo Plex, Mano Le Tough, Paul Kalkbrenner, Sven Vath and Tale Of Us. Wow…
I don’t think you understand just how cool Parco Dora is…
Getting There Is Easy
You can grab cheap return flights out of the UK and Ireland daily which leave you spoiled for choice! For the adventurous amongst us, you could drive the whole way through France and drive over the Italian border to Turin or maybe get the train and not have to worry about where you parked in the car park!
You Don’t Need Any Cash
The festival operates a cashless system. You’ll receive a card which you pre-pay and use as a currency substitute! Saves you from rummaging through your pockets for change for that glorious bottle of ice cold water.
There are several top class hotels, B&B’s and hostels dotted across the city which give you a wide range of price. Like everything you can pay extra to live in the lap of luxury but you can also do it on a budget with some hotels and hostels being as low as €50 per night.
You’ll Be In Every Facebook Feed In The World… Maybe
We’ve all seen videos of this amazing festival when it’s in full swing and the crowd reaction videos always go super-viral! Get your face to the front of the stage and you could be featured on an endless number of Facebook feeds!
Words really don’t do this festival justice. So I’m going to stop typing and just show you exactly what we’re trying to show you all. Don’t miss out. Be there.
And if those images aren’t enough to convince you, check out the after movie from last year!
