Onxy’s debut summer in Ibiza sees them take over La Terraza and the Sunset Terrace in Space every Monday, they kick started their season in spectacular style last week by throwing an opening party that will surely be remembered for years to come. Spearheaded by Russian DJ and producer Mikaela, Onyx promises to be the “must do” night for any true techno fans visiting Ibiza this summer. Delivering quality live sets by some of the genre’s biggest names on a weekly basis you simply can’t afford to miss this one. So, in case you need any more convincing, we’ve put together a list of five reasons why you have to go to Onyx @ Space.

If you’re a real techno fan, and we’re not talking about someone who’s been to Music On twice and owns a longline black t-shirt, you have to go to Onyx, there simply isn’t another club night on the island where you’ll get your fix of relentless, face melting beats. A summer line up that includes heavyweights like Dave Clarke, Juan Atkins, Alan Fitzpatrick, Kareen and Slam is, simply put, too good to miss. This Monday Gaiser and Dense & Pika, to name a few, will be supplying the ammunition for your techno tommy gun.

As if you needed any reminding, this is the very last year that Space will be running in it’s current form and you’re last chance to party in the world’s most iconic nightclub. If that’s not pulling at your sentimental heartstring than you’re either dead inside or you don’t know anything about clubbing. If you’re dead inside there’s not a whole lot we can do for you but if you’re just not in the know about clubbing then do yourself a favour and go to Onyx and educate yourself in the dark arts of techno.

Monday’s in Ibiza are a well trodden path of club nights which have graced these shores for many a year. Music On is entering it’s fifth season, while Cocoon and Flower Power have both been around for longer than we care to remember, so if you’re getting bored of the same old same old and want to try something new, get yourself into Onyx for a healthy serving of deep and dark techno. We promise you won’t be disappointed.

While Onyx is being championed as Ibiza’s premiere techno night of 2016, there is also so much more on offer thanks to the team’s well constructed and incredibly rounded lineups. La Terraza will be bursting at the seems with blissful techno every Monday but, just a few yards away, on the Sunset Terrace, things will generally have a more melodic or housey vibe. With artists like Visionquest, Robert Babicz and this week’s guests Guy J B2B Guy Mantzur Onyx really are supplying their guests with a little bit of something for everyone.

Let’s face it, you’re in Ibiza, you’re letting your hair down, you’ve got nothing to worry about until you go home and you’re fucking loving it. It’s a place where even the best made plans can quickly find themselves in second place to spur of the moment impulse decisions. So, if you find yourself coming out of David Guetta’s Big in Ushuaia and you’re thinking about what to do next but you’re worried that Onyx may not be your thing, remember this; WWGD. That stands for What Would God Do and we can report with 100% certainty that Carl Cox is god and he’s definitely going to Space. Onyx, just fucking do it, you know you want to.
