Cala Bassa beach is a popular destination for both locals and tourists and truly is one of the island’s beaches that offers something for everyone. Located around fifteen minutes drive from San Antonio, Cala Bassa’s crystal clear and calm water is the perfect place for bathers of all ages.
Cala Bassa is easily accessible by car and has plenty of parking spaces available. The beach is also serviced by bus routes from San Antonio and San Jose and is well sign posted. There is also a ferry service that takes around fifteen minutes from San Antonio that runs throughout the summer months.
The facilities on Cala Bassa beach are second to none on the island. It has excellent disabled access and once you get there you’ll be able to advantage of the many sunbeds and parasols. The beach also offers toilet, showers and changing facilities and you can rest assured that you and your family are in the safehands of the lifeguards while in the water. If you’re looking to take your relaxation to the next level you’ll also be able to take advantage of the beach’s massage facilities. Alternatively, if you’ve had enough of relaxing and want to liven things up a little you could always rent a pedalo or, for the more adventurous, a jetski and there is also a banana boat ride available.
There are a number of restaurants at Cala Bassa beach, some of which are open all year round, where you’ll find everything classic Mediterranean food to high end sushi. There are also a number of shops and boutiques and cala Basa beach club where you can enjoy a drink and listen to some music courtesy of the resident DJs.
