A lot can happen in 10 years. A decade is a very long time when you think about then and now. In 2007 the last Harry Potter book was released and the first iPhone was released in the January of that year. Another notable event of 2007? It was the last time Carl Cox played at the legendary Creamfields.
Well, the good news is Carl will make his Creamfields return this year! The bad news? You’ll have to wait until the August bank holiday weekend of next year. Carl will be hosting the Intec stage at the iconic festival which will be taking over Chesire from the 23rd until the 26th of August, 2018.
Carl has been a dance music icon for the best part of three decades so his return to the Creamfields stage is huge for the UK scene as he was one of the pioneers of the British rave scene in the early 90’s. His Space Ibiza residency was one of the most beloved residencies on the island and the closing fiesta was a sad day for everyone who spent time on the dancefloor in Space down through the years.
Many thought Carl would be hanging up his headphones after his Space residency finished but he returned to Privilege for two triumphant events along with guest appearances for Game Over in The Zoo and appearances at HYTE and Music On in Amnesia.
It’s no secret that Carl is touring a lot less now than he has been in the last few years so who knows how many more opportunities you will have to see the living legend himself live and in the flesh?
Tickets for Creamfields are on sale now and the full lineup is expected to be released in February of next year. Grab your tickets now before the full lineup is released because once that hits the masses these tickets will be like gold dust!
