Es Codolar is a beach for those of you who want to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday Ibiza. Over three kilometers long, this is easily one of the island’s longest stretches of beach but also one of its least frequented.
There is no public transport servicing this beach and it’s off the beaten track location, around a fifteen minutes drive from Ibiza Town or Playa d’en Bossa, means it is only accessible by car. Parking is only allowed in a car park at the beginning of the beach.
Unlike most of the beaches on this list, Es Codolar offers none of the facilities of the island’s other beaches, just the tranquil calmness of an area unaffected by the tourism industry and the only activities you’ll find happening are dog walking and occasional surfing.
If you do chose to go to Es Codolar be sure to bring a packed lunch and plenty of water because you won’t find any shops, cafes or bars in close proximity.
