Down through the years, there has been a countless number of classic clubbing films that have been set in Ibiza. My two personal favourites “Kevin & Perry Go Large” and “All Gone Pete Tong” are timeless Ibiza classics. Who could overlook Frankie Wilde fighting a dangerous Badger, kicking the life out of the poor creature before watching it bleed cocaine? Iconic!
Many films have tried to claim the top spot of Ibiza clubbing films but the latest one will see US streaming giants Netflix have a crack at snatching the crown. They are in the pre-production and casting stages of their latest comedy, which is being filmed on the White Isle throughout August.
The film tells the story of a woman who goes on a business trip to Barcelona together with her best friends but ends up clubbing in Ibiza instead. While staying in Ibiza, she falls for a famous DJ and realises that there is more to life than her job.
I think it’s fairly safe to say that we’ve all had this feeling! You’re lying by the pool having a beer after a night of debauchery in one of the most magical places on the planet and you strongly consider everything from changing your flights to stay for another week to quitting your job and moving to Ibiza full time. Our advice? Do it… You only live once!
