A former fishing port for the village of San Miguel, the white sandy beach of Puerto de San Miguel makes up the tiny resort of the same name. A medium sized stretch of coastline surround by steep cliffs and pine covered hills and crystal clear water, makes this spot an ideal location for relaxing in comfort and swimming in the sea.
Getting to Puerto de San Miguel is best done by car. It is well signposted and when you get there, there are plenty of places for you to park up while you relax on the beach. Alternatively, the village of San Miguel, which is located about 5 km south of the resort, is well serviced by bus.
Puerto de San Miguel has all of the amenities that you would expect on a popular Ibiza beach. It has good access for the disabled and offers a good supply of sunbeds and parasols for your comfort. There are also lifeguards on duty to keep you safe while you’re in the sea and showers to rinse off when you get out.
The waters around Puerto de San Miguel make it an ideal spot for watersports and activities and you’ll find a whole range at your disposal. You can try your hand at sailing in the sailing school or explore the surrounding areas in pedalo. For the adrenaline junkies there is windsurfing, jet skis and banana boat rides. Or if you’re looking for a real adventure you can explore the depths with the dive school.
There are a number of restaurants lining the beach in Puerto de San Miguel, some of which are very well known for their seafood and popular with locals so it may be a good idea to book ahead if you’re looking for an evening meal. You’ll also find a souvenir shop and supermarket in the resort for all of your seaside needs.
